As you may know, Jessica had a small role in the 2012 hit comedy “Ted“.
She played Tracy, one of Mila Kunis’ bitchy co-workers.
I’ve finally updated the gallery with Blu-ray captures of the movie and extras. Enjoy!
Fox’s dark thriller The Following returned for its second season last sunday night, and Jessica Stroup made her debut as Ryan Hardy’s niece, Max, a tough NYC cop who reconnects with her uncle and helps him in his quest track down serial killer Joe Carroll’s cult of followers.
Stroup, 27, made her acting debut in 2005 and went on to appear in several horror films, including “Prom Night”, “Vampire Bats”, and “The Hills Have Eyes 2″. In 2008, she landed the role of Erin Silver on “90210″, the reboot of Beverly Hills, 90210.
Parade.com caught up with Stroup at The Following season 2 premiere, and she dished on what it’s like working with Kevin Bacon, “bawling [her] eyes out” over certain scenes, and what her character Max will be up to this season.
What drew you to the role of Max Hardy?
“I watched the show last year when it was actually airing, so I loved the show last year. I’d been looking for something that was a strong female [role]. I like doing stunts, I like doing action, and I love Kevin Bacon—so when the role came along, it [was] completely up my alley. There’s a lot more action to come, too.”
After NFL Football a special preview of The Following aired yesterday on FOX.
The season two premiere of The Following, part of which aired after primetime, earned a series high 4.4 adults 18-49 rating up 38 percent from a 3.2 for the season one premiere on Monday, January 21, 2013 and up 63 percent from a 2.7 for the season one finale.
Jessica was awesome in the season premiere and her character is a great addition.
I’m really looking forward to see more of her this season.

An all-new The Following will return January 27 on it’s regular timeslot at 9/8c on FOX.
If you missed last nights episode, a reapeat of the season premiere will air on January 27 8/7c on FOX.
As you can see Intrducing Jessica Stroup has finally a new look.
I thought it was about time for a layout change. I hope you like the new layout!
While anyone on “The Following” is potentially working for Joe Carroll’s serial-killing cabal, one of the good guys we’ll meet in Season 2 (premiering Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 p.m. on FOX) is Max Hardy, Ryan’s niece. Well, she she starts out good — this is a Kevin Williamson show, so anyone could end up working for the enemy.
We’ll be introduced to Max, played by “90210″ star Jessica Stroup, in the Season 2 premiere as she helps her uncle with his investigation. Want to know more about her? Check out Zap2it’s exclusive featurette, below.
“She’s a New York City cop … in the intel division,” explains Stroup. “She helps Ryan navigate how to get to these people who are creating so much havoc in New York.”
It’s no coincidence that Max has followed Ryan into the family business. “Max has always wanted a relationship with him,” says Williamson. “Max idolizes him; Max loves him. It’s really important that they stay together.”
Adds Kevin Bacon, “This character of Max gives me an opportunity to sort of open up and relate to somebody in my family on a deeper personal level.”
After its special post-football preview on Sunday, “The Following” moves to its regular Monday-night home starting Jan. 27. Take a look at the video:
And I’ve added the first pictures of Jess in “The Following” into the gallery:
Jessica was part of the “The Following” Panel at the TCA Winter Press Tour yesterday.
The cast (also including Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy) talked to the press about the upcoming season of “The Following”, which 2nd season will premiere this sunday on FOX!
Here are some bits and quotes from the panel:
- “Max is someone who is athletic and has a real strength to her when it comes to fighting crime — not that I fight crime on a daily basis,” Jessica Stroup joked.
- Stroup admitted that she auditioned with 15 to 20 other women and was sure she wouldn’t get it, worried she wasn’t the “cop-looking type.” Kevin Williamson disagreed, saying, “I thought she was the only one who looked like she could hold a gun.”
- Jessica Stroup loves that she gets to do stunts on “The Following”. Williamson says “she kicks ass“.
